She sat at the edge
Thinking. Thinking about jumping.
Thinking about taking her own life.
While she had dignity.
While she wasn't insecure.
She was a victim of society.
Judged. Ordered. Restricted.
All because of her gender.
The water stood still before her.
Deep. A deep blue. Ready to bury her
Her tears fell in, engulfed by the water.
It sent ripples across the ocean.
She suddenly questioned her decision.
She was a woman. Could she be that tear ?
That one drop of water that creates ripples across the world ?
In a world of judgmental, powerful men,
Could she be the change ?
Yes. She could. The ocean won't have her today.
Because she had a world to change
She is a woman.
