We Are Never Alone

The tears collect in my eyes
Before they trickle down like rain
It carries a huge burden
Expressing all my pain
They form salty tracks
As they move from eye to cheek
Speaking of those things
That I was too scared to speak
I wipe my face gently
And wipe both my eyes
The truth may not be, but I tell myself
"You're to precious to cry"
But I toughen up,
And though I'm now on my own
We learn through this loneliness
That we are never actually alone
